Tutor Personal Information
Tutoring Style and/or Experience
I really started teaching Math to my fellow students in kindergarten. I learned Algebra in 5th grade, Trigonometry and Geometry in 6th, and Calculus in 8th. I got a 35 on my Math ACT (in 8th grade). My nickname on my high school basketball team was MC referencing the equation E=MC^2.
For the last five years I've tutored and taught all over Chicago working with North Park University, the Albany Park Community Center, the Blue Gargoyle Community Center, and Selective Prep.
My philosophy of teaching is simple:
Maximize the student's engagement
Balance current content concerns with developing long-term skills
Tailor everything to the student's goals
