Tutoring and Homework Help
Ashley S. of Charlottesville VA USA Tutor Profile
Tutor Personal Information
Tutoring Style and/or Experience
I have a high level of experience in unofficial homework help (six years of babysitting experience and I am the oldest of five siblings). I have tutored middle school children since I began college, mostly in general math and English.
I love to learn and so love to teach! I try to teach a child as much independence as possible, meaning guiding them through a process using questions, rather than telling them how to do it or giving them the answer. I love working with kids and, since I come from a large family and have a lot of babysitting experience, I've worked with kids of all different personalities and understand that different teaching styles are needed for different learning types. I will help your child learn in the most efficient way possible for his or her particular style.
I am an English major, so English is my strongest tutoring subject and I'm willing to tutor all levels. I will also tutor most subjects from Kindergarten-6th grade, most particularly general math, English and science. I have studied French since 3rd grade and have traveled in France since; I have a conversational competency in the language and am willing to teach beginner to intermediate French.
If you have any questions or uncertainties, feel free to contact me and I will let you know if I am able to tutor the subject you wish!
