Hello TutorMatch community! While my background is in standardized test preparation, I am now working with high school and middle school students on organizational skills and general academic coursework. I emphasize discipline and the pleasure of pride over a job well done in my relationships with students, while always maintaining a comfortable and honest environment; humor goes a long way in most cases! My experience leading youth empowerment/leadership building through movement programming has taught me how to participate in the process of helping students find their strengths and building confidence. Watching students engage with their passions (every kid has them!) is very fulfilling. Your kids can learn to view test-taking and homework as an engaging challenge like a crossword puzzle rather than as an overwhelming chore. I have five years of excellent Cambridge and Lexington area references, some listed below and more available upon request.
Thanks for your interest. I'm happy to interview/meet your child, and offer free consultations for organization skill building and test preparation.
