Tutoring Style and/or Experience
Hello, my name is Ben. I am former community college instructor of mathematics, and have been tutoring math for about 10 years. My formal education is a BS in Mathematics from the University of Arizona and a MA in Mathematics Education from Western Governors University. Subjects that I have taught in the past are algebra, trigonometry, precalculus, and calculus.
I understand that math can be very tough subject for a lot of students. My goal is to make the subject more fun and interesting to every student I teach. I believe that the process of solving a problem is more important that just getting an answer. Once you understand the process of problem solving, you will have the confidence and skills to tackle any problem that comes your way. I want to teach you these skills and methods to help you succeed in math, and hopefully make it a more enjoyable experience.
