My tutoring experience includes working as a tutor at my high school, tutoring my peers outside of class, and informally teaching my siblings. Although I may appear under-qualified or young, I feel my youth and hands-on experience in high school allow me to connect more with my students.
Also, I am familiar with using a variety of methods in order to communicate information. Often, a student just needs the information presented in a different way than it has been, be it by using visuals or translating all of that fussy text-book wording. I was also trained at my high school's Writing Center, a facility for writing tutoring, in effective methods for opening students up and discerning where exactly the aid is needed.
Lastly, I can tutor for all basic subject areas, test-prep (ACT/SAT/PSAT), and Spanish.
This tutor offers a sliding scale for students with economic hardships.
