I believe my recent experience going through high school and taking the standardized tests gives me a unique perspective on tutoring and allows me to provide detailed tips on how to succeed.
For the past three years, I have coached events for the Science Olympiad program at the Ephraim Curtis middle school in Sudbury. During this time, I was required to present high school level science to middle-schoolers in a fun way that would help them understand. In addition, this year, I volunteered tutoring an eighth grade student struggling in science and helped him raise his grade. In addition, I have tutored several other students in math and science. The following is a testimonial from a student:
Kan tutored my son for the first time this weekend, and my son really responded to him well. Kan did a good job explaining concepts in a very calm, patient way. He gave my son confidence in his ability to get the concepts that seemed just a little bit too difficult prior to the tutoring. Kan is also very friendly and approachable. We will be utilizing his services all summer. Thanks!
