Mr Abderrazak K. of Sherman TX USA Tutor Profile
Tutor Personal Information
|Name:||Mr Abderrazak K.|
I am a native French speaker and have been studying the language since I was 7 years old. I received a strong foundation in the Tunisian public school system, and then continued my studies at the American Cooperative School of Tunis, ultimately going through the International Baccalaureate program (and taking French A2 Higher Level) my junior and senior years of high school. I speak, read and write French at the literary level, and have had enjoyable experiences tutoring kids all the way from the beginning level to fellow IB students. I am now enrolled at Austin College, having received both my high school diploma and my International Baccalaureate Diploma (with a score of 6 out of 7 on higher level A2 French). When it comes to my tutoring style, I prefer to tailor my approach to the needs of my students. For example, if the weak area is grammar, I prefer to focus on workbook exercises and examples, essentially allowing repetition to engender proper form (also applies to conjugation). When it comes to older students who simply want to dabble in French, my focus is more on the development of conversational skills. But regardless, I strongly emphasize communication in French with all my students, never speaking to them in English unless it is absolutely necessary, and encouraging them (as a very helpful measure) to watch movies and read comics or short stories in French. Essentially, I am happy to tutor you regardless of whether you have never spoken a phrase in French other than "oui oui" or have reached the literary level. I am told that I am both patient and persistent, so I only ask that you be serious about wanting to learn :).
