While I was in school, I always had a knack for understanding the subject matter at hand and being able to impart my knowledge to classmates. I know how to reach out to students and understand where they are having difficulties and in the process identify a plan on how to overcome those difficulties. I also have the ability to draw on relationships on various topics inside the subject matter as to help a student understand the big picture. From there, we drill down to the details so that a student can fully understand the subject matter at hand. I also can give our various techniques in order to recall formulas (espcially in math and accounting) so students do not have to memorize formulas, as this can cause failure to recall during an exam. I want them to understand the formulas and understand the relationships that exist between formulas as this will allow the student to memorize less information and be better prepared.
Please contact me especially if you need help in accounting, finance or math related subject as those are my strong subjects. I prefer one on one sessions so that I can understand and cater to the needs of the student. If you need help just to prepare for a test or need weekly meetings, we can work something out. I respond fairly quickly to email so feel free to contact me and we can go from there. I can be fairly flexible with time and place, in the Manhattan area.
I love to tutor as I love helping students understand and be excited about the subject matter. Through my expertise, I have been able to help out many students excel in math, accounting and finance. I have been in school fairly recently I'm pretty aware of the types of questions and topics heavily covered on exams.
