Ms Amanda M. of Wheeling IL USA Tutor Profile
Tutor Personal Information
|Name:||Ms Amanda M.|
I am an English major and will recieve my AA this spring. This fall, I will go on to a four-year university to get my BA. I am an officer in my college's Honors Society, a member of Phi Theta Kappa, and I have a 4.0 grade point average. I consider myself capable of tutoring in all 101 or high school areas, but I specialize in English grammar and essay writing. I am also easygoing and agreeable--I'm sure we'll get along great!
I am currently tutoring students in the area of SAT/ACT English preparation.
Along with English, I am knowledgeable in the subjects of biology, geology, anthropology, and American history (especially the Civil War). Literature is also a forte of mine--chances are, if a book is assigned for a class, I have already read it for fun!
Due to several well-received publications in a school newsletter, I have earned a reputation as a person to come to for writing advice. Many of my peers, including classmates from my English 102 Honors class, frequently email me a paper for editing before handing it in.
In addition to helping my peers, I attended a tutoring preparation course and have been trained to recognize and appeal to different ways of learning.
