Hello all! My name's Amanda and I'd love to be you (or your child's) tutor! =]
I currently have a 3.0 GPA and am about to graduate (in December) with two degrees: a BA in Psychology and a BA in Theology, with a focus on Roman Catholic Theology. I currently am taking part in an Internship at a homeless shelter, where I work as a case worker to homeless women and children. I love it there and am grateful for the opportunity to expand my worldview.
I like to think that I’m fun and personable, and that I can help you (or your child) achieve whatever success you (or they) want to achieve. It’s not just about getting a good grade; it’s about understanding the material and applying it in your mind. What’s the use of getting an A on a test if you can’t remember the subject matter in a week? Finding a good tutor is like finding the right pair of jeans; you need to “shop around” a little bit. Finding the right tutor means finding someone who can match your learning style. I can accommodate to whatever style best fits YOU, and I have no problem making worksheets, study guides, flashcards, and fun activities to help the information set in your mind.
My specializations include Psychology, Religious Studies, and Music. However, I can also help you with other categories such as Grammar, Reading, Writing, Voice lessons, even piano lessons. You just have to let me know what you need help in, how much you actually know, and how much you need to learn, and we’ll let the fun begin! =]
