Mr Michael O. of St. Louis MO USA Tutor Profile
Tutor Personal Information
|Name:||Mr Michael O.|
I offer conversation sessions and/or lessons. I tailor all lessons to your needs and interests.
LESSONS: Work in all areas of English: reading, writing, speaking, listening. We can concentrate on pronunciation, idioms, vocabulary, speaking, professional or academic writing, interview skills, citizenship test preparation, discussions of American culture, and more.
CONVERSATION SESSIONS: These sessions are more casual than lessons, and at a cheaper rate. Focus on your speaking and listening skills while talking with a native speaker. I make friendly suggestions on pronunciation, idioms, vocabulary, and grammar, and on natural use of American English.
Providing access and demonstrating my professional commitment are a priority in my teaching. I actively encourage dialogue with students during and after lessons, by appointment, and email. My role as the instructor is not only as a source of knowledge, but also a source of support and an avenue for other resources. Students can expect that I am approachable, available to answer questions, and genuinely invested in helping them achieve results quickly. I strive to be student-focused, competent, flexible, and aware of uniqueness amongst my students. I get to know my students as people. I learn their interests, background, and their career goals. Additionally, I regularly strive to improve my teaching by seeking student feedback, talking with peers, reading and experimenting with new methods. I believe that taking the time to revise lesson plans add new material is something that all teachers must do on a regular basis
