Tutoring Style and/or Experience

I have experience tutoring or teaching varied levels of Latin, Greek, and German. As Swarthmore Classics Department's paid clinician, tutor, and grader, I must serve a variety of roles: reviewing difficult material with students, drilling forms, and helping students develop reading skills. I am very good at connecting with students to identify how they might best learn and what methods I can implement to help achieve their greatest success - I also make fun a priority alongside good grammar when learning Latin :P

If you can tell me a joke in Latin, you're getting it! (Yes, it's happened and, yes, those students had lives (: )

Many of the students I tutored in Swarthmore's introductory Latin class have continued private tutoring with me after their class ended. They appreciate my ability to give them new perspectives on grammar and methods for memorizing and applying these perspectives to reading and composing Latin sentences. They also like my humor and enthusiasm in making something as tricky as Latin into an exciting experience.
