I'm a recent graduate of Princeton University who has been tutoring off and on for the last 10 years. I was an apprentice to a woman who tutored for all of her adult life and learned a lot of awesome techniques from her for motivating students and helping students with reading comprehension. I also took classes in Teacher Preparation while at Princeton. I was trained to teacher Social Studies and English. I'm a calm presence in the classroom and when working with individual students. My rates vary depending on a couple things (how many hours you want me to tutor, how far away you are from my location, etc.) but I'm always willing to work with families who need tutoring.
I am available for tutoring in the following subjects:
--Elementary and Middle School Math (up to Algebra 1)
--Language Arts & Reading
--All levels of Middle and High School English
--History (I'm especially good with American but can help with World and European too)
--Elementary school science
If you have a specialty class or if you're a college student looking for a tutor, contact me to see if I can help you.
I'm located in the Vallejo/Benicia area but I'm willing to go to Napa, Walnut Creek, Concord, Berkeley, Emeryville, and other locations in the Bay Area.
I look forward to hearing from you!!!

Time Spent Tutoring:
I was an all-star student in high school. I was an All-American Scholar, an officer for the National Honor Society, an AP Scholar with Distinction, a National Merit Commended Student, and a National Achievement Finalist. My SAT score was also in the top 5% of the state in 2005. I know how to study and I can help you learn how to study well too.
