My tutoring experience includes volunteering at a grassroots non-profit organization for at-risk students who needed extra help with homework assignments as well as test preparation and study skills. In this role, I first had to ensure to create a trusting rapport with the students in order for them to help them gain a better understanding of the subject matter and a desire to learn. At my previous teaching job, on top of my full-time position, I was in charge of providing one-on-one help to students that were struggling with the material presented in class and of providing remedial work. I also have three years of teaching experience and hold a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in French and Education as well as a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education. I am currently working on a Masters of Education.
I love French! I understand that it is a hard language to learn but I believe by working together, we can reach your goals in no time. My fun, engaging and supportive approach to teaching and learning has helped students become more proficient in the language as I am able to use their interests and target their needs in my language teaching. Whether you are new to the language or you want to brush up your skills, I am here to help!
