In order to optimize the time spent between the tutor and the student, it is important for the tutor to fully understand the student's needs and his or her strengths ahead of time. Because each student is different, my teaching style will differ based on the student's learning styles.

During the first session, I will access the student's strengths and weaknesses--such as analytical skills and computing skills.

Based on my findings, I will use an appropriate and suitable teaching method to show my students how to properly do a task or work through a problem. After my students fully grasp the concept, I will help them master the task or problem solution. It's important that my students can independently solve similar problems by using and adapting demonstrated methods.

Also, I am interested in encouraging student participation. Thus, I believe a strong relationship established between the tutor and the student is also essential in improving the student's learning abilities.
