As a professional writer, I want to help students learn to craft beautiful prose, sharpen their grammar and polish their final drafts. I am a former Time magazine reporter and I served as the top editor at Bucknell University's student newspaper, so I know what it takes to write that perfect college essay or turn in a fabulous end-of-year writing project. While I am currently in the process of becoming certified to teach English in New Jersey, I taught writing workshops at Bucknell for four years.
This tutor offers a sliding scale for students with economic hardships.

I have won awards for my writing, including a 2005 Gannett Well Done prize for a series I wrote for Morris County's Daily Record about veterans returning from Iraq. My work has appeared in Time, People, Budget Travel, the Daily Record, and I have a forthcoming feature piece that will appear in a 2009 issue of Glamour.
