I tutored students and friends from middle/high school to college and on-the-job in my engineering career. The simple and easy method I use is going back to basics + screening tests. I set my goal with the student and divide that goal to sections with tests.
Going back to basics and providing real-life applications is my ultimate tool. Many students today study engineering and advanced math and physics without knowing and/or capturing a real sense of the very basics during high school. Ex. Many don't know how to actually use integration or derivation, or even use simple calculus equations.
I tutored in two different countries.
Before I start tutoring, I provide my student's parent or student a copy of my degree + resume + (references if asked). Very calm and technical nature, I tutor within a 20 mile radius only. I tutor at the student's home / college / school only.
I accept a phone interview then a 1 hour minimum pay with a 2 hour first session (First Hour Free).
